What certifications are required for exporting Bluetooth earphones and WiFi devices to the EU?

Go through CE-RED (Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU), one set covers three items: radio frequency performance (EN 300 328, etc.), electromagnetic compatibility (EN 301 489 series), electrical safety (EN 62368-1), and human exposure assessment is also required (SAR or EN 50663 exemption determination). In addition, RoHS, REACH, WEEE/battery registration, and packaging PPWR must also be met. In practice, about 70% of radio frequency products require an EU-type examination certificate issued by a notified body (NB).

Two high-frequency blockers: first, if the "fixed-frequency method" cannot be provided, the laboratory cannot make the product transmit continuously; second, the gain of the external antenna has not been corrected for EIRP, resulting in excessive power.

Shuwang engineers have run this category often enough to know the bottleneck is usually the paperwork before submission, not the lab.

Service boundary: Shuwang Certification Platform is an export certification solution provider. It does not perform testing and is not a certification body. Testing described on this page is carried out by partner laboratories accredited to CNAS/CMA or ISO/IEC 17025; certificates are issued by EU Notified Bodies or by the authorised bodies of the destination country. Lead times and cost ranges are public industry references and depend on engineer assessment and body scheduling.
