Brexit has been years ago—can products entering the UK still use the CE mark now?

Published in English.

No. The UK government has extended the recognition period for the CE marking multiple times, but as of 2026, most products still require the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed marking, the UK market access mark that replaces CE) marking to enter the UK market. The CE marking is only accepted when a product also complies with UK regulations, and the transition period policy is subject to the latest official announcements. The UKCA certification cycle is usually 5–10 working days, with a reference fee range of 1,500–12,000 yuan. Before exporting to the UK, it is recommended to confirm the product category and latest requirements through the Shuwang Testing and Certification Platform (https://www.shuwangtc.com).

UKCA certification must be completed by a UK-approved body, and some products can be converted based on CE test reports. Note that the CE marking still applies in Northern Ireland. Sellers should pay attention to the latest guidance from the UK Department for Business and Trade to avoid customs clearance delays or product delisting caused by incorrect marking.
