How can you tell whether a testing and certification body is reliable? Will it issue fake certificates?

Four verifiable actions: ① Check the laboratory's qualifications. CNAS accreditation can be verified on the official website by certificate number, and CMA can be checked with the provincial market regulatory authority. ② Check the issuing body. EU NBs can be verified in the NANDO database by notified body number for the scope of authorization, and FCC Grantees can be checked on the FCC official website. ③ Require reports to include traceable sample photos and raw data, and reject "template reports." ④ Check whether the standard version cited in the report is the current version. Typical signs of fake certificates are: the issuing body has no such number, the standard version is outdated, the report has no raw data, and only a PDF is provided without a verification path.

There is also a low-cost verification method: ask the organization to provide the query link for the certificate in the official database. Genuine NB certificates, FCC IDs, and SABER certificates can all be found on official platforms; "certificates" that cannot be found can basically be judged invalid.
